Tupelo Designs LLC - Blessed

Happy Friday!  We made it through another week!  Friday is my day to post for Tupelo Designs LLC!  If you're not familiar with them you really need to check them out!  They're my favorite store!  They carry lots of my favorite brands and shipping is ALWAYS FREE - no coupon code required (USA only).

I'm always looking for a bargain and FREE SHIPPING always gets my attention!  They're always adding new things to the store.  In fact... I just placed an order yesterday!! LOL!!   I've been eyeing up the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide and was so excited to see them in the store!  They even have the refills which is important to me, because I like to paint with the ink from the bottles.
Today I'm playing with the Neat and Tangled Gardenia Blooms from the store.  This stamp is perfect for card making or journaling - it will fit perfectly in a 3x4" pocket.  It has a space in the center for you to insert different sentiments.
To add some color I decided to stamp the sentiment on colored cardstock and insert it over the stamped image.  I cut the sentiment with the My Favorite Things Stitched Fishtail Flags.
I colored the flowers with Copic Markers in three shades of yellow Y13, Y15 and Y17. To compliment the yellow I layered pattern paper in neutrals and yellows in the background. These are from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Bloom 6" Pad. You can find everything you need in the store.

My favorite part of creating is the finishing touches - the embellishments.  These wood butterfly buttons were included as a free gift in some of my previous orders from Tupelo Designs LLC!  I was waiting for just the right card to use them on!
Dan the owner of Tupelo Designs LLC went to the recent CHA show and has added lots of new stuff to the store.  Why not stop by for a visit just to see what's  new!

CAS-ual Fridays Calling All Sistah's!!

Hi and thanks for stopping by!! I'm calling out to all Sistahs! On the 17th of the month CAS-ual Fridays Stamps sponsors a blog hop to remind you and the important women in your life to make sure you're doing your monthly breast self-exam and scheduling a yearly mammogram. You can make a difference and you might just save a life! Our theme this month is "With Love From Your Sistah"!

1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime. Early detection is so important for treatment! We want all the women in our lives to know how important they are to us and how much we want them to live strong healthy lives.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps owner Michele is a survivor. She designed a line of stamps to provide support and to promote awareness. 50% of the sale of products in the "Calling All Sistahs" campaign are donated to breast cancer research and awareness.

If you're hopping along you should have reached me from Theresa Knopf's blog.

You can get all the blog hop details and begin here - at the CAS-ual Fridays Blog!

I've been going through the "winter blues" and been playing with the flowers from Pretty Posies stamp set! I thought it would be fun to have them peeking out from behind the die cut word ribbon.

The word ribbon was getting lost so I added a solid die cut ribbon behind it to break up the patterns. I added lots of pinks - the ink, flowers, sequins (that's from the limited edition mix that Pretty Pink Posh made exclusively for the store!) and die cuts.

I added some glossy accents to the flower centers for dimension and shine.  The sentiment is from the Calling All Sistah's Stamp Set.  I cut it with a banner die and added a little washi to make it pop.

Ok.. on to the next blog for you! Lori Kobular's got something amazing to share!!! But before you go.. please leave me a comment! There is some candy to be had.. and you have to leave a comment to enter to win!

Here's a complete list of all the designers with projects to share today!

Heather North  (our fabulous blog hop organizer!!)

Want to go shopping? There's lots of stamps in the sale section of the store, and yes.. you can double dip using my special code. Any commission that would normally be given to me has been redirected to CASual Fridays for their Calling All Sistahs Campaign to use toward breast cancer awareness and prevention. I do not accept any payment for products I use on my blog. I only work with products I love and would recommend.

CASology - Romance - Crazy About You!

Who can resist a little romance? Certainly not me! So when I saw the challenge at CASology I had to play along! Yep! Total fool for love and always looking for a happy ending no matter what the circumstances. I think that defines me as a hopeless romantic doesn't it?

Well I've been with Mr. J a very long time - we met when we were both 16 and had lots of ups and downs.  If I had to do it all over again he knows it would be with him.  We always try to do little things for each other - every single day.  Simple things that say I love you.  It's not unusual for him to come home with one of my favorite cupcakes from the bakery or offer to help me out when I'm running behind.  He encourages my crafty obsession - and is my biggest fan!   So Yes, I am still crazy about this man!

I had fun making this almost single layer card.  I stamped the leaves, sentiment and flowers on a panel before adding the pink flower with some adhesive foam tape.  Does this still count as CAS?

These pretty flowers are from Reverse Confetti.  They're double stamped images that have coordinating die cuts making them easy to make arrangements with.

Instead of gems I scattered a few yellow flowers around the design.

I love the pretty design on the bell shaped florals!
I hope you're having a great day and if you're feeling a little romance coming on maybe you should join me over at CASology!!

Fusion Card Challenge - Tea Time

I hope you're having a great day.. maybe getting a little stressed out?  How about a little crafty break?   I know it helps me escape if only for a little while.   A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge!

Remember it's Fusion so you can work with the sketch or the photo.. and if you want to be clever, you can fuse them both together.  I was smitten with that yummy photo.. the pretty stacked cups.. the pink and white together and the pretty hearts.
I just recently found Catherine Scanlon Stamps.  I saw this pretty Stacked stamp and it was love at first sight! I embossed it in gold on watercolor paper and colored it with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.  They had the perfect rose color I was looking for in the 32 color palate.
I'm still learning some of the "tricks" of watercoloring - like adding more ink for shadows and definition and painted this probably 3 times before I was happy with it.   My advice.. don't give up.. good things come to those who wait.
The "Tea Time" sentiment is from Altnew's Vintage Teacup and the "Lovely" word die is from Concord & 9th Wonderful Words.
I double cut the "lovely" word die in gold foil and gold glitter paper and added some god sequins to accent the gold embossing of the stamp.

Now it's your turn! Need a little more inspiration? The design team has you covered.. just click on the names below to hop to their blogs...

We sure hope you'll join us at Fusion Card Challenge
