Tupelo Designs - Watercolor Floral

TGIF! I'm ready for a weekend off! Last weekend the Chicago area got hit with so much snow that all we did was shovel. We don't wait until it's finished snowing.. we move what we can a little at a time. It's easier to shovel two inches than 12 all at one time! We got over a foot! We even had to shovel a path for Miss Mori so she would go outside. She kept looking at the steps off the back porch and crying! I'm guessing she wasn't sure where to place her feet so we cleared off the back yard too!
Today I felt like doing a little water coloring. This image from Altenew called Sketchy Floral is stunning!
This stamp is LARGE giving you lots of options for how you can position it on your paper. I stamped it with Versafine ink on Ranger Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper. I had fun painting in the colors and adding shading! Very relaxing!   Bold and bright for me LOL!
A simple sentiment is perfect so there's no covering up this pretty painting! I cut it with a simple banner from My Favorite Things.

Fusion - For Someone Special

Hello sweet crafty friends! I hope you're having a great day! If you're looking for a place to play Fusion Card Challenge has a new challenge that begins today!
I find myself drawn to the photos like this door with a pretty wreath. I love the dark background and pretty florals. But I love brights - maybe your not loving the colors or the image this time. That's ok - you can still play along - just work with the sketch. It's Fusion so you can work with the sketch, the image or BOTH! That's what I tried to do this time!
I started with a dark background of pattern papers from Reverse Confetti EVERY LITTLE BIT and topped it with a pretty floral wreath with lots of greenery from FALL FOR YOU and BUILD A BUNCH.
To break up the two pattern papers I added a black card stock border cut from the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER die.
The florals and leaves are inked with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers.
Now it's your turn! Need a little more inspiration? Head on over to the Fusion Card Challenge blog where you'll find lots of samples from the rest of the team (or click their names below). We can't wait to see what you make!

Pretty Little Studio |Today Enjoy The Little Things!

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm sending you some sunshine today with this pretty card made with the Pretty Little Studio "A Beautiful Day" Collection.
The background papers are Peach Snowcone (triangles) and Fiesta (stripes), topped with a 4" Cambridge Doily and a Currently 3x4" Journaling Card. This forms the foundation of my card - all that's left is the embellishing!
White word stickers make easy sentiments. I've got one on a tab at the top of the journaling card, and a second running across the bottom of the card.
The bouquet in the center of the card is from the Colorful Blooms die cut pack. I tucked in a few sprigs of Greenery under the florals and around the Love flair from the My Life pack.
The beautiful butterfly is from the Brackets | Fiesta pack that has butterflies in a rainbow of colors!
I hope you have a beautiful day!

Muse Card Challenge - Hummingbird Friends

I hope you're having a great day! Today I''m playing along with Muse Challenge #253. The inspiration is from my sweet friend Tracey McNeely at In My Creative Opinion Blog
This is Tracey's card!

I love the distress background and the cute little bear with the heart behind his back.. like he's hiding a surprise! I was inspired by Tracey's glue green distress background! to make this card...
I inked up a background (Peacock Feathers and Sqeezed Lemonade) spritzed it with water, and then with a darker shade of distress ink (Salty Ocean), and some white ink.
Instead of the bear I inked up these Hummingbird Friends from Pretty Pink Posh!   I wanted something similar to Tracey's - an animal - but still something different to keep it mine.
The sentiment is the new Hello Friend Script die. I cut the die three times from card stock and stacked them together so they're thick like chipboard. To "dot" the "i" I used a little sequin.
The hummingbirds are inked in Memento and colored with Copic Markers. I tries to pack in lots of bright colors.. I'm wishing for Spring!
These hummingbirds just make me HAPPY! I hope you're smiling too!

Pretty Little Studio - For Love of Llamas

Are you loving llamas? They're a popular trend that I keep seeing more and more of. Pretty Little Studio loves llamas too! And you'll find lots of them in the Wish You Were Here Collection. You'll find llamas on pattern paper, tags, journaling cards, and so much more in this travel themed collection.
This card was quick and easy to make - I started with a background of mint star pattern paper (Roam), added a panel down the center (Now Boarding) of the card. Along the outer edges are cut triangles from the Cut-Aparts Highway Miles sheet. The cut apart sheets are a great value at 99 cents because you get lots of images on a sheet!
The sentiment is a die cut in the Fernweh pack. The llama in the center of the card is cut from a 3x4 journaling card. I used a circle die, but you can also cut it by hand or with a circle punch.
I cut a second slightly larger circle from solid navy card stock to make the llama the center of attention on this card.
A sprinkle of sequins is a sparkly finishing touch! Click here to jump to the Wish You Were Here Collection in the store - you'll love all the cute llamas you'll find!

Have a great day!
