Simple Stories Mama Llama Collection

There are so many beautiful new collections available at Simple Stories that the hardest part is deciding which one to work with. With Mother's Day just around the corner I couldn't resist reaching for the Mama Llama Collection!
This collection is a mix of pastels - think blue, green, pink and yellow with accents in chocolate thrown in for drama! The images include llamas (of course) with flowers and hearts for Mom, streamers and banners to celebrate her, and some Southwestern accents to set the scene.

The 12" collection pack has everything you need to make lots of pretty cards! There are a few sheets of journaling cards to cut out and use as the focal point of your design as well as a sticker sheet for embellishments.
I cut some of the images with a circle die cut, but a punch would work just as well. I powder the back of the stickers to release the adhesive, and then attach them with foam tape to add dimension.
The sticker sheet has lots of cute sentiments like "I love my mama" and "save the drama for your mama". These cute llamas and whimsical sentiments are sure to make you smile.
What a fun way to thank Mom for all she does and let her know you appreciate all the good things about yourself that you got it from her!

Tupelo Designs LLC - Beautiful Peony Dream

I hope you're having a great day! The weekend is almost here! I'm hoping for some crafty time! My favorite craft supplies are die cuts, and my favorite images are flowers. Altenew has found a clever way to make these two favorites come together in an unexpected way.
The Peony Dream die replicates the Altenew stamped images you've come to love. The dies are layered (just like the stamps) You just need to cut them in different shades of card stock and glue them together! If you look close you'll notice the yellow flower is the center portion of the pink flower!
The flowers are layered on a Doodled Lace Cover Panel that is layered over a panel inked up with Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass ink.
Want to go shopping? Tupelo Designs LLC has LOADS of your favorite brands! Shipping is FREE every day (USA only - discounted rates for overseas / international orders). CAS-ual Fridays Blog Hop - Happy Birthday Michele!

Today we're celebrating Michele's birthday with a blog hop!  Michele is the owner of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! If you're hopping along you should have reached me from Laurie Willison's blog. If you'd like to start at the beginning you can get all the details here on the CAS-ual Friday's Blog!

I've enjoyed getting to know Michele - she's always so kind and generous!  I hope she loves this pink and gold birthday card I made for her!   I want her to celebrate her special day doing all the things she loves best!
The background for my card was created with a very simple wash on watercolor paper. I like to use the Ranger Distress Ink refills to paint with. I chose Picked Raspberry for a bright pink background.
I stamped the watercolor panel with the Modern Petals border with Versafine ink and applied gold embossing powder. Because the watercolor paper is not smooth it didn't ink evenly. I love the distressed look that was created.
I embossed the "Celebrate" sentiment on a clean white panel and adhered it with adhesive foam tape to add some dimension to the card. The finishing touch is a sprinkle of gold sequins.
Michele has some special gifts planned for her birthday! She'll be giving away 5 $50 gift codes to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Store! One winner will be chosen from the CAS-ual Fridays Blog and the other four will be selected randomly from the comments left alt the stops on the hop! SO PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT!

Want to go shopping? If you see something you like I hope you will use my special discount code. You'll save 15% off your ENTIRE order - sale items included! Any commission that would normally go to me for your purchase has been redirected to CAS-ual Fridays to use toward Breast Cancer Awareness and Research. I accept no commission for the use of products on my blog and only use and endorse products that I love and would recommend. Here's a link to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Store.

You're next stop on this hop is Irit Shalom! Good Luck and Happy Hopping!

A Blog Named Hero - Hello Beautiful!

Jeanne here today with another card for the A Blog Named Hero latest challenge "Put A Flower On It!" There are so many different floral sets available from Hero Arts that you'll have no trouble finding one to use for this month's challenge.
I started with a panel of card stock inked with Ranger Distress Ink in Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass. I spritzed the panel with water, Broken China and white ink. I topped the panel with two die cut Filigree Borders to create a trellis for the Flowers For You!
Whenever I get a new stamp set I cut lots of flowers in different colors. That way when I want to make something I have several already cut and stamped - ready to work with! These triple stamped flowers come to life each time you add a layer of ink! (You can see all the colors I used in the links below.)
I love the mixed fort sentiment from the set. The script and bold print look beautiful together.
I stamped them on a simple banner die cut.
Now it's your turn! I sure hope you'll join us for our Put a Flower On It! Challenge. Click here to jump to the challenge page where you can find more samples and link up your own project!
